Capitol Offence

Inspired by lies fomented long
Beyond the realms of ration real
They chanted loudly ‘Stop the Steal’
A vitriolic righteous throng
Marched on with indignation strong
Engulfed in hatred energised
Swarmed through a building vandalised
Intent on causing violence
The mob pushed on, enraged, incensed
A nation watched on, terrorised
