I always took the view that women who go out to work usually work twice as hard as men, they bring up children and generally do far more in the home than men so deserve earlier retirement.
That said, my late husband was appalled that I wanted to go out to work. He believed it was his job to work not mine. I didn’t mind, I loved being at home with my kids.
I was lucky I got to stay at home for many years, until One day I got a job by accident. So working hard for women’s rights has never been on my radar.
Oh, I’m sure you will Ruth, it’s a pity it’s such a long way off. 🙂

What a shame they changed it from 60.

We all fought so hard for equality, so sadly it makes perfect sense to have men and women retiring at the same age… Oh well! 🙂
