Cradled Wood Panel Painting

I made this mixed media collage last week on a 16″ square cradled wood panel – I think it’s just a layer of plywood with a basic pine frame, but it was such a great substrate for me to create my art on! It doesn’t warp when wet and it’s really easy to stick collage pieces onto because being wood it stays firm and solid when you press down on it. I think I might get some more of these in the future, but I do have some stretched canvases to use up first… 🙂
