Hello, my name is Ruth and welcome to my blog! 🙂

I’m part of the youngest generation to remember where they were when President Kennedy was assassinated – tucked up warmly inside my mother’s womb, emerging into the world (a few weeks earlier than expected) less than a fortnight later… For those of you too young to remember the events of late 1963, that puts me firmly in my mid-fifties!

Various labels that can be attached to me in life include wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, employee, friend. I consider myself to be Scottish, British, then European (in that order), am married to an American, and we currently live in London but hope to move to Scotland at some point in the near future.

My blog posts will no doubt include a heap of everyday photographs and the odd poem or two and a whole messy pile of random thoughts and ramblings about anything and everything, depending on my mood and what’s going on in the world – in general I try to steer clear of politics and religion, but I don’t always succeed in this current climate.

Thanks for visiting, see you around! 🙂
