The lovely old iron-studded wooden door of St John’s Church, Leytonstone, East London, where I live. (I mean I live in Leytonstone, not the church!) The cold bright winter sun really brought out the detail this morning as I walked past, so I thought I’d share it with you for this week’s Thursday Doors 🙂
The first stone of the building was laid in July 1832, and the church was consecrated in October 1833.
Three views of the great outdoors taken here in Wanstead Flats, Leytonstone, East London – even in a big city like London, we still have our own little oasis of open space to let us spend time in nature 🙂
I went out for a little wander tonight to try to take some new images of Leytonstone all lit up at night – so here we have a local Moroccan cafe, the underground station, the bus station, McDonald’s, and the Walnut Tree pub 🙂
PS The reason I’ve grayscaled them all is that I had my white balance all wrong tonight so they all had a yellow tinge to them – oops!
