Abstract Bluebells

Some abstract bluebells for today’s Flower of the Day – I just felt like doing something a bit different… These particular bluebells were nestled under the shade of a tree, and it was dull rather than sunny when I took the original pic so the resulting image looked a bit dull and the colours faded – but a digital art filter helped give my boring old bluebells a new, far more interesting lease of life 🙂

Daisy, Daisy…

Daisies growing huddled together in the grass, bright white and yellow heads gleaming in the spring sunshine 🙂

Beautiful Bluebells: Spring 2019

To have such spectacular wildflowers growing so comfortably within a big city is often a surprise to many people, residents and visitors alike, but here are this year’s beautiful bluebells flowering in Chalet Wood, Wanstead Park, East London. Some years they come slightly earlier, and some years they come a bit later, but their breath-taking abundance every spring never fails to make me smile 🙂

Flower of the Day: Beautiful Blue

The trouble with not having a garden of my own, and therefore taking photographs (from the street, of course) of flowers in other people’s gardens, is that I often have no idea what type they are! But if they look pretty, I take them anyway – and these beautiful blue flowers looked spectacular in the spring sunshine 🙂
