Deep pink rose plus buds for today’s Flower of the Day 🙂
A close up of inside a single gladiolus flower on a stem made up of several similar blooms 🙂
My giant sunflower head is drooping over at seriously sad level – it looks a bit like it’s sulking or something 🙂
My last rose pic of August for today’s Flower of the Day 🙂
The Golden Rod has flowered in the garden, a bit later than last year but better late than never! 🙂
A few images from this afternoon’s leisurely stroll with my husband along the banks of the Caledonian Canal in Inverness. We saw boats, and ducks, and enjoyed the warm but breezy weather and beautiful blue skies.
It was nice just spending quality time together in the fresh air, walking and chatting and comfortably putting the world to rights – and to cap it all off we bumped into an old friend who was also out for a walk with her son, so we stood and chatted with them for a while too, which was lovely.
Altogether we whiled away a relaxing couple of hours in the sunshine, a perfect Friday afternoon walk 🙂
A damp dewy rose in the early morning for today’s Flower of the Day 🙂
It’s been such a long time since I joined in with Colour Your World, so I decided to have a go today with these yellow orange flowers 🙂
In my back garden just now the little red pelargonium is doing fine, as are all my succulents, although my herb pots are looking a bit tired and probably need a bit of love and attention to perk them up a bit.
In the front garden some of the roses are looking a bit careworn, too, but thankfully the last of the lavender is holding on to its scent, even though the flowers are fading fast… 🙂
Some flowers, I know the names of… others, not so much, so ‘orange daisy’ is as good as it gets today! 🙂
