A daisy for today’s Flower of the Day 🙂
This week’s smile from me comes from really enjoying the somewhat slower pace of life out here in the Scottish countryside, from once again having the time to appreciate the natural beauty and variety of plants growing in the grass verges at the side of the road, and the satisfying sight of newly baled straw after a successful harvest 🙂
Every year I see these sweetpeas growing wild on Wanstead Flats, here in Leytonstone, East London 🙂
A pale Scottish dog rose for today’s Flower of the Day 🙂
In our local Tesco car park (in Leytonstone, East London) there is a small enclosed area of wildflower garden – and right now it looks beautiful! 🙂
On my way to work this morning I walked past these deep orangey red tall poppies growing at the root of a tree set into the tarred pavement – they seemed to be waving at me in the early morning sunshine, so I stopped and tried to capture them on my smartphone camera – not the best focus, but it was really hard to see the screen so it was the best I could do 🙂
